Picture-taking tips - Views - Picturesque spots
Always take your camera when you walk around picturesque Budapest!

But there are better spots than others, and if you want to take nice pictures of some of the
best views of the city, go, walk or climb to the places with the best views.

If you are into picture-taking and want to capture some of the best views of Budapest while
you are sightseeing, follow these tips and carry your camera to the best picture-taking
spots of Budapest:
1. Walk to the top of Gellert-hill - just cross Szabadsag (Independence) Bridge to the
Buda side of the city, and walk to the top, starting right next to Hotel Gellert,
on Verejték
utca. If you absolutely don't want to walk, take bus 27 from Móricz Zsigmond krt and go all
the way to the last stop.

2.
Ride the bus to Sas-hill (Sashegy) by bus number 8 from the Pest-side end of Erzsébet
(Elisabeth) Bridge. It is most advisable to take off at the 'Lejto ut' stop, and start walking on
Hegytető utca towards the hilltop.

3.
Get to the top of Harmashatar-hill by bus number 6 from Nyugati square all the way to
Kolosy square in district 3, and then take bus number 65 from
Kolosy square until the
end. Then you have to climb a bit. Or, take a taxi instead. Tip: enjoy the view from a terrace
table at Udvarház restaurant on top of Hármashatár-hill (address: I.
Hármashatárhegyi út
2, tel. 1/388-8780). The view is beyond words. High in the Buda Hills, you'll enjoy a great
panoramic view of the surrounding hills and the city of Budapest, while having a nice meal.
This picture of the Buda Castle and a bit of the Danube river was shot from Gellert hill, tip #1.
The blue hill in the background is Hármashatár-hill, tip #3.
